Configuring RingDNA for Person Accounts
Salesforce Person Accounts merge Contact and Account data into a single object, enabling streamlined B2C relationship management. Revenue.io supports Person Accounts, but two settings need to be disabled to work correctly: “Account Name” in Custom Fields and Phone Match to Account.
Disable “Account Name” in Custom Fields
When using Person Accounts, displaying or referencing Account Name in Revenue.io call logging can cause insert or update errors.
Steps to disable:
- Log into the Revenue.io Admin Console
- Go to: Integrations → Salesforce → Fields
- Locate the Account Name field and click Edit
- For each Profile:
- Uncheck View
- Uncheck Always Visible
- Click Save
- Log out of the Dialer and log back in to apply changes
⚠️ This prevents common errors like:Error updating record: Account: bad field names on insert/update call: AccountId
Disable Phone Match to Account
Matching inbound calls to the Account object based on phone numbers can cause incorrect identification when using Person Accounts. This setting must be turned off.
Steps to disable:
- Log into the Revenue.io Admin Console
- In the left-hand navigation, under Products, click RingDNA
- Select RingDNA Settings
- Scroll to the Phone Matching section
- Locate the option:
Phone Match Accounts – Matches inbound numbers to Account phone fields - Disable this option by toggling it off
- Click Save if prompted
✅ Disabling this ensures Revenue.io won’t incorrectly associate inbound calls with unrelated business Accounts when Person Accounts are in use.
