Guided Selling Winter 2026 Release (V12)
Guided Selling v12 builds on the just-in-time foundation from v11 with clearer work visibility in Engage, more flexible scheduling, new Quick Action types and APIs, and a simplified sequence action model that removes the Action object.
For a visual walkthrough, see this interactive demo.
Upcoming Actions on Engage
Engage adds four tabs—Due Now, Upcoming Today, Scheduled, and Pending—so reps can see what to run now, what is coming later today or beyond, and what is still blocked, without leaving Engage. Tab counts update live, filters apply across tabs, and Dial Next stays limited to Due Now.
Reschedule to any date
Reps can reschedule any action to the current time or a future date, including earlier than the previous due date, with validation that prevents past times. The reschedule modal defaults to the current date and time to make pulling work forward easier.
Track action rescheduling
Participant actions now store Original Due Date, Last Rescheduled Date, and Last Rescheduled By so admins and RevOps can analyze deferral patterns and workload. Values are set from the UI, bulk updates, or API and are available for reporting.
Email and SMS Quick Actions
Quick Actions support Email and SMS in addition to Call and Task, consistent with sequence actions. Email can use templates or free text; SMS follows the same permissions and validation as sequence-based SMS.
Create Quick Actions API
A public Apex method and Flow-compatible action lets admins and developers create Quick Actions from automation, with inputs such as ownerId, dueDate, participantId, actionType, and optional task configuration.
Skip or Perform Actions API
New methods let automation skip or mark as performed a participant action so participants can advance programmatically—useful for integrated systems and form-based workflows.
Simplified sequence action model
The Action object is removed; sequence actions are self-contained in one model. Sequence Builder consolidates templates, activation type, and naming, and a Templates section helps admins manage reusable email content across sequences.
Technical enhancements
Visualforce in Lightning allows Guided Selling modules on modern Dynamic Forms layouts.
Upgrade from v11 or earlier
Upgrading requires specific package versions, batch jobs, deprecated tab cleanup, and field or object deletion. Follow the step-by-step checklist in the full release notes (about 45 minutes for a system admin with a Guided Selling license).
