Reporting and Insights

Guided Selling provides various reporting and insights capabilities to help you track sequence performance, participant engagement, and business outcomes.

Engage Insights

When you click the Show Insights button on the Engage view, the page reveals a set of analytics cards that provide valuable insights. These insights are interactive and linked to a Guided Selling Salesforce report.

The first analytic card dynamically updates when filtered by action type. For example, if you filter by Tasks, the insights will reflect task-specific metrics.

Metrics are calculated in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) because Salesforce stores events, such as Lead conversions, using UTC dates. For instance, if a Lead is converted after 5 PM PST, it will not be considered as occurring “today,” since 5 PM PST corresponds to midnight in the UTC time zone.

Sequence Metrics

On sequence detail pages, metric cards show:

  • Exited Participants: Number of participants who have exited
  • Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted
  • Active Participants: Current active participants
  • Average Touchpoints: Average actions completed per participant

Salesforce Reports

You can create custom reports using:

  • Sequence Associations: Current participant data
  • Participant Sequence History: Historical participant data
  • Participant Actions: Action-level data
  • Conversations: Interaction and engagement data

Sequence Attribution

Sequence attribution analyzes how the flow of a sequence impacts desired business outcomes, including:

  • Event creation
  • Task creation
  • Opportunity creation

This enables ranking of sequence effectiveness based on the quantity of expected outcomes produced per participant within the sequence.

Email Events

Guided Selling tracks participant actions taken on emails:

  • Email Opened
  • Email Replied To
  • Link Clicked

These events are tracked in Participant Action fields and Conversation records.

Best Practices

  • Review insights regularly to monitor performance
  • Create standard reports for common analyses
  • Use sequence metrics to identify optimization opportunities
  • Track attribution to understand sequence impact
  • Monitor email engagement to improve messaging
  • Compare metrics across sequences to identify best practices
