Complete, Skip, Reschedule Actions

Role:
Agent

From the Participant Overview Module on Lead or Contact records, you can manage upcoming actions by completing, skipping, or rescheduling them. This gives you control over the sequence flow for individual participants.

Complete Actions

Completing an action marks it as done and moves the participant to the next action in the sequence.

Complete an Action

  1. Navigate to the Lead or Contact record
  2. Scroll to the Guided Selling component
  3. Find the action you want to complete
  4. Click the Complete button or mark the action as done
  5. The action will be marked as performed and the next action will become available

Skip Actions

Skipping an action defers it, meaning it won’t be executed but the participant will move to the next action.

Skip an Action

  1. Navigate to the Lead or Contact record
  2. Scroll to the Guided Selling component
  3. Find the action you want to skip
  4. Click the menu dropdown on the action
  5. Select Skip or Defer
  6. The action will be marked as deferred
Skipped actions are tracked in the “Number Of Deferred Sequence Actions” field on the participant record.

Reschedule Actions

Rescheduling allows you to change when an action becomes due without skipping it.

Reschedule an Action

  1. Navigate to the Lead or Contact record
  2. Scroll to the Guided Selling component
  3. Find the action you want to reschedule
  4. Click the menu dropdown on the action
  5. Select Reschedule
  6. Choose a new date and time
  7. Save the changes
Rescheduling an individual action will automatically reschedule all subsequent actions.

Action Status

Actions in the Participant Overview Module show their current status:

  • Pending: Action is scheduled but not yet due
  • Due: Action is ready to be completed
  • Completed: Action has been finished
  • Deferred: Action has been skipped
  • Overdue: Action is past its due date (shown in red)

Best Practices

  • Complete actions promptly when they’re due
  • Skip actions that aren’t relevant to the participant
  • Reschedule actions when timing needs adjustment
  • Review action status regularly
  • Use action management to optimize participant experience
