Create a Quick Action
Role:
Agent
Quick actions are used to capture actions that do not belong to a specific sequence. They can be added from the Lead/Contact profile page in the Sequence Overview section using the "+ Create Action" button, or on the Participants tab, participant row, menu item “Create Action”. Quick actions will appear on Engage so that the action can be performed.
Creating a Quick Action
From Lead/Contact Profile Page
- Navigate to the Lead or Contact profile page
- Scroll to the Guided Selling component (Sequence Overview section)
- Click the "+ Create Action" button
- Select the action type (Call, SMS, Email, or Task)
- Configure the action details
- Set the expected execution date
- Click Save
From Participants Tab
- Navigate to the Participants tab in Guided Selling
- Find the participant row for the Lead or Contact
- Click the menu dropdown on the participant row
- Select “Create Action”
- Configure the action details
- Set the expected execution date
- Click Save
Quick Action Types
Quick actions support the same action types as sequence actions:
- Call Actions: Make a phone call to the participant
- SMS Actions: Send a text message to the participant
- Email Actions: Send an email to the participant
- Task Actions: Create a task for the participant
Quick Action Behavior
Once created, quick actions will:
- Appear on the Engage view when they become due
- Be associated with the participant but not part of any sequence
- Follow the same execution rules as sequence actions
- Be tracked in the same way as sequence actions
Quick actions are useful for one-off interactions that don’t fit into your standard sequences, such as follow-up calls, special requests, or ad-hoc tasks.
