Guided Selling permission Sets

Assign the right Guided Selling permission set so users get the access they need without you managing object permissions one by one.

Which permission set to assign

Choose one of three permission sets based on how the user will use Guided Selling.

Sequence Admin

Assign to users who:

• Manage Guided Selling users.
• Create and maintain actions.
• Build, edit, and manage sequences.

Sequence Agent

Assign to users who:

• Work inside Guided Selling to complete actions.
• Add or remove their own leads or contacts from sequences.
• Do not build or manage sequences or actions.

Guided Selling Delegation

Assign to users (or integrations) who:

• Trigger adding a record to a sequence based on entrance criteria.
• Do not use Guided Selling themselves (they are not completing actions or building sequences).

Common use case: third-party systems (e.g., LeanData or HubSpot) that add new leads to a sequence when criteria are met.

Assign permission sets directly to users

Guided Selling reads permission set assignments on the user record to decide which triggers run. Because of that:

• Assign permission sets directly to each user.
• Do not rely on Permission Set Groups for Guided Selling access.

If permission sets are only assigned through a group, they are not detected at the user level and Guided Selling will not behave correctly.

Object permissions by permission set

The table below shows object-level access for Sequence Admin and Sequence Agent. Guided Selling Delegation is used for automated entrance criteria only and is not listed in this table.
