Installation and Setup

To complete these steps successfully, you must be an Administrator in Salesforce with “Edit All” access and permission to install managed packages.

This guide walks you through installing and configuring the Guided Selling Managed Package in your Salesforce org so you can run sequences and automation. The package includes all of the Salesforce components and code necessary to run Guided Selling in your instance. It provides:

  • Custom Objects: Sequences, Participant Actions, and related objects
  • Custom Fields: Extensions to standard Salesforce objects (Leads, Contacts, Activities)
  • Apex Classes and Triggers: Business logic for sequence automation
  • Visualforce Pages and Lightning Components: User interface components
  • Permission Sets: Access controls for Sequence Agents and Sequence Admins
  • Batch Jobs and Scheduled Processes: Automated sequence processing

Getting the Latest Version

Guided Selling is provided to customers as a Managed Package, typically during Implementation. The package is deployed to your Salesforce org through the standard Salesforce AppExchange installation process.

For First-Time Installations

If you’re installing Guided Selling for the first time, contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Executive to obtain the installation link and package details. They will provide you with:

  • The installation URL for the Guided Selling Managed Package
  • Any prerequisites or dependencies that need to be installed first
  • Guidance on the recommended installation approach (typically starting with a sandbox environment)
