Enable Attribution

The Enable Attribution setting controls whether sequence attribution tracking is active. Sequence attribution analyzes how sequences impact business outcomes.

How attribution works

When enabled, Guided Selling tracks and analyzes how sequence participation impacts desired business outcomes such as:

  • Event creation
  • Task creation
  • Opportunity creation

Configuration

  1. Navigate to Guided Selling Settings
  2. Go to Custom Settings
  3. Find Enable Attribution
  4. Toggle the setting to ON
  5. Configure attribution rules (metadata)
  6. Save the configuration

Attribution requirements

For attribution to work:

  • Attribution must be enabled in custom settings
  • Attribution rules must be configured in metadata
  • Participants must have exited sequences for events to be attributed
  • Appropriate time windows must be configured
